This is such a great reframe, Kelsey! My constant mantra is: "A messy house is a sign of life." Sometimes I'm saying it with a smile, other times I'm screaming it into the void, ya know? Also - very curious about these forthcoming adventures of yours!!

Thank you, Megan! I'm trying to make this more of a mantra for myself but it's HARD! 🤣 As for our adventures, I'm holding them lightly, honestly until we're there, but we are supposed to go to Paris for my father-in-law's "fini flight" aka his last flight before he retires this spring! But due to the nature of this trip, we don't have anything scheduled yet, so we'll see....

Kelsey- I loved this reflection, and so deeply connect to it too! As I look out to my messy living room right now, I love the reframe of it being proof of the life I've dreamed versus just disorganized chaos.

Thank you, friend! I'm sure I'll need to come back to my own reminder over and over again in the coming weeks/months/years.

"When she’s tempted to curse the mess around her, and she is very tempted, she instead gives thanks for the proof of life inside these four walls. This is the life she’s always dreamed of, after all." Beautiful. Love all the little details you captured, Kelsey!

Thank you, Aly! The details were easy to capture because all I had to do was take a quick lap around my house and take in the disarray 🤣

Haha I get that. When the details of disarray may be a little too on your radar😜 it makes a great writing though!

Kelsey this is such a great perspective shift. Taking the mess and finding all the good it points to. I’m going to have to try to say this to myself too cause boy have things come unbound and piled up this past week haha
