I loved reading this on the heels of listening to the Exodus podcast series from The Bible Project. They've been talking about how exodus is the way out, the way through, and the way in. Saturday is the way through! Happy Easter!!!
This is so beautiful. What a thoughtful and relatable way to express where your heart is at. A few years ago I lost a baby in a rather traumatizing miscarriage. My sister in law and a friend also miscarried within weeks of my loss. It all happened around the Easter time frame. What a hard day yet also SUCH a reminder that Sunday is coming! Joy will come and all the lose ends will be bound in a beautiful way, as only He knows to do.
Thank you for your kind words, Anne. I’m so sorry you have experienced similar heartbreak this time of year but glad that you can share in the joy of Sunday. Happy Easter!
Such a great reminder of the “why” of Saturday!
Thank you for this!
I read this about the stone and I’ll share it here:
“The stone wasn't rolled away from the tomb so that Jesus could leave.
He was already gone.
It was rolled away so that doubters like me could look in and cry,
"I believe! I believe!"’
Thanks for sharing this quote, I love this!
“Saturday in perpetuity” - oof. I felt that. I love how you write with such vulnerability and honesty, Kelsey. And always pointing to true Hope! ❤️
Thank you, friend. 🤍
