So happy you found your way to our cohort and that it’s been life-giving for you ❤️

I, too, am amazed by how Mary Oliver can say so much in so few words!!

Kelsey, you share so much good stuff here! My husband is reading Breathe and I am intrigued. I just had sinus and nasal surgery to open up my airways, but recovery is not going well and my breathing is worse than before. I may need to save that read for when I’m not so defeated in my nose-breathing quest.

So glad you found The Artist’s Way cohort!

I’m so sorry your recovery is not going well, that must be hard on so many levels! But having your husband read first sounds like an excellent plan, I hope you are in a place where you can read it soon 🫶🏼

I’m so glad to be connected with you through our Artist’s Way group! That little ballerina is precious, and 10 gold stars for that cute party! Breathe has been on my list to read (yoga + coping/therapy draw me to it…) going to add it to my holds! I LOVE Katherine Center’s books and even went to a local signing for this one. I still enjoyed it, but it was a little over-the-top for me, and sadly not a favorite. Still a good light read, so maybe just pick it up when you need a silly escape? Lastly, definitely printing that recipe for trying a Gold Rush.. because I, too, love a paper recipe. Thanks for writing, friend!

I’m so glad we got connected through the group, too! I hope you like Breath more than The Rom-Commers, but how cool that you got to go to a signing for it. Despite this not being my favorite, I still think Katherine Center is fantastic. I also hope you like the gold rush, it’s a winner for sure!

First of all, thank you so much for the mention. It's an honor and a joy to be read; I love sharing poems here! And of course Part-Time Poets is amazing.

Second of all, I've been laughing for the last few minutes over "Once you finish, answer the age old question, will MomTok survive this?", but I'm in the library and it's been awkward to stifle it 😁.

I'm bummed to hear that "The Rom-Commers" might not be good (but when it appears on Libby, I will give it a try). I've really liked most of her books (I started with "The Bodyguard" and then went backwards into her catalogue a couple years ago). However...I'm giving myself way more permission these days to DNF books. You can always go back to it if you change your mind.

Keep sharing your poems and I’ll keep reading them!

And that’s a good reminder that you can always come back to a book, sometimes it’s more about timing than the book itself.

🥰 I love having you in the cohort, Kelsey!

-That Gold Rush cocktail sounds fantastic!

-I get cookbooks from the library, too, but I’m terrible at actually cooking from them.

-You’ve convinced me to listen to Breath!
