I loved The Shell Game! And going to an estate sale is on my list of things I want to do—I’ve never been but they sound so fascinating!!

Estate sale-ing is my favorite weekend activity. I was really intimidated before I went to my first one but once I ripped the bandaid off, now I go as often as I can. I get emails for all the ones in my area so I can parse through them before driving all over town. 🤣

Soooo many of your “why I can write” reasons resonated with me!! I’m proud of you for trusting yourself to take a writing break! The words will always come back. Also I’m so sad you didn’t love TOG but I get it!! It definitely isn’t for everyone ha. I loved Tom Lake too, might actually need a reread this summer :)

I’m choosing to trust and believe the words will come back. 🤞🏼I also feel like I’m letting you down by not loving TOG—I wanted to like it so badly!!!! But yes to a Tom Lake reread!

To be fair the first book in the TOG series is the worst hahaha. If you feel like coming back to it (I hope) it will surprise you and be a good fantasy escape. Love this “why I can’t write” prompt and so glad you’re trusting your gut and refilling your creative well this summer.

I’m not writing it off completely, I may give it another try when I’m in the mood for another fantasy! And thanks for being a big reason I feel comfortable trusting my gut this summer 🤗
